Allergan Aesthetics will have the option to purchase Cypris Medical, including the company's Xact product, after the conclusion of a clinical trial set to begin in 2021. The proposed clinical trial would assess Xact's safety and efficacy in the treatment of midface descent and neck lifts. Xact, which replaces the scalpel, is intended to raise and suture the superficial muscular aponeurotic system (SMAS), the same tissue that is primed during a facelift.
