Indian Premier League 2026 is at its grand finale. It will be the Royal Challengers Bengaluru facing the Gujarat Titans in the world's largest stadium ‘Narendra Modi Stadium' at Ahmedabad on May 31, 2026, in a bid to win the IPL 2026 trophy. More than a cricket match; this would be an event and an experience for the rest of all fans lives worldwide, be it at the stadium, be it at home; considering that the attendance at the stadium was 130,000 people and millions were watching at the screens worldwide and you can also enjoy virtually using Reddy Anna ID.

RCB - GOAT Team

This was a final in which they had to be: undoubtedly the top team of the season. They had been leaders of the league, winning nine out of fourteen league matches, accumulating 18 points with a net run rate of +0.783 – higher than all the other seven teams. The statistics are the truth, however. The journey to the final by RCB has been one of character, of talent and one moment of sheer brilliance.

It was during Qualifier 1 against Gujarat Titans that it came about in their home ground at Dharamsala. RCB were given what was meant to be a chasing-friendly surface to bat in and were required to set a target when their opener Phil Salt was out. The rest of the story was amazing. Virat Kohli was at his usual form with shots that didn't hit him and he was calm and patient to keep his form steady with Devdutt Padikkal who was at the aggressive gun at the start. The match was, however, different at No.3 with Rajat Patidar taking the runaway, and never looking back. Patidar delivered an unbeaten 93 in 33 balls, and he did so the quickest in an IPL 90-plus score - impressively. He banged it home, straight, tastefully and on time that defenders of the GT field just stood in awe. RCB achieved the best score in all the IPL playoff matches – 254.

GT were then all out for 162 and scored 255 runs chasing. It was the best-powered playoff victory in years, by 92 runs. RCB had a quiet but dominant finish to the final, where they will play their second losing battle of the tournament.

GT: Gill's warrior

Gujarat Titans' draw to qualify for the final is equally intriguing as RCB. Rising to the occasion after being humbled with a 92-run defeat in Qualifier 1 by RCB, it is hard to believe a lesser team would have braved that embarrassment. After all the buildup, and blown momentum, the buzz around the Rajasthan Royals in the following weeks was so overwhelming that it would seem as if no confidence of GT's could be left when they finally faced a genuine Qualifier 2 challenge on May 29.

They successfully passed with “with flying colours”. Young bowlers captain Shubman Gill, who had been in pain in Qualifier 1, was walking out to bat in Mullanpur and had a level and calm innings in which he amassed a century of classy strokes without the pressure to get it right. As a Rajasthan Royals team had the uncanny ability to bounce back from a Rajasthan RoyalG 97-run off 29 balls for Vaibhav Sooryavanshi in the Eliminator, Gill was able to reach three figures. The team was unique in their ability to come through and Gill reached three figures with a Rajasthan Royals team. GT was able to wrap up his win and make sure that he did have someone that was two rounds back on him 3 days later.

Conditions

RCB enter the fray as the favorites to win and are now known to be well-trained, well-equipped, and confident since they are returning as defending champions with a good margin between the scores. They are assembling the batting line up with Virat Kohli in the lead and in-form Padikkal and explosive Patidar in the middle order. They provide a well organised and disciplined finish to their bowling with which Bhuvneshwar Kumar is doing this season with 24 wickets.

Is eager, motivated and a bit weary of playing one day before but with the confidence and emotion of having scored the 316-run McCullum goal. In their favor, their bowling unit (Kagiso Rabada, Mohammed Siraj, Rashid Khan and Jason Holder) is the classiest in IPL 2026, by any measure. They have the opportunity to put on any score on any surface with their number one and number two batters, Gill and Sai Sudharsan, on the back foot of Jos Buttler's lifting explosion.

Conclusions

Narendra Modi Stadium tickets will be sold out. The lights will be on.All lights will be on. The ambiance will be charged up like a battery. In this cacophony of noise and passion, and somewhere in between, two teams will fight for the title on who has indeed become an IPL 2026 champion.

Far from beautiful, and the most nerve wracking and most glorious Ipl form ever.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru are 15 runs ahead of the defending champion as Predicted Winner, on the biggest night according to the reliable source of Reddy Anna.
