If your pod starts leaking after switching to a 50/50 vape juice, it does not always mean there is something wrong with the e-liquid. In my experience, leaking is usually linked to the pod, coil, airflow or how the device is being used.
50/50 vape juice contains an equal balance of VG and PG. This makes it relatively versatile and commonly suited to many refillable pod and mouth-to-lung devices. However, every vape kit has its own coil and pod design, so performance can vary.
One of the first things I check when a pod leaks is the coil. If the coil is old, damaged or not fitted correctly, e-liquid can escape through the airflow section. A poorly fitted replacement coil can cause the same problem.
Overfilling the pod is another common cause. Leave the appropriate amount of space recommended by the manufacturer and make sure the fill port is properly sealed before using the device.
I also find that leaving a filled pod unused for a long time can sometimes contribute to leaking. E-liquid can gradually move through the coil and collect around the airflow area. Keeping the device upright when it is not being used may help reduce this.
Your vaping style can also make a difference. Taking very short or weak puffs may not vaporise the liquid being drawn into the coil efficiently. On the other hand, using a device outside its recommended power range can affect how the coil handles the e-liquid.
If you have changed from one 50/50 liquid to another and the leaking started afterwards, check whether the new liquid is suitable for your particular pod and coil. Different flavours and formulations can behave slightly differently.
Before replacing your entire device, check the pod for cracks, make sure the coil is installed correctly, clean any excess e-liquid around the contacts and airflow area, and avoid overfilling.
In short, 50/50 vape juice itself is not automatically the cause of a leaking pod. The pod condition, coil, filling method, storage and device compatibility are all worth checking first.
